Welcome to the 21st Century
Welcome to the New and Improved Suffering.net. My husband created this website many years ago, before we ever met, as a resource for those who are suffering. Tim’s focus was to point people to Christ in the midst of their suffering, and that is my main purpose in continuing this website.
Tim passed away on Jan 11, 2024, after a 46-year battle with Limb Girdle Muscular Dystrophy. We were married for almost 22 years, and the entirety of our marriage is a testament to God’s goodness, faithfulness, and steadfast love.
This is my first blogpost since 2009, and I’m not sure that Tim did much updating to his website since then either. At the very least, the technology has not been updated since the late-90’s, so I am extremely thankful to be able to bring his website into the 21st century. I hope you find Tim’s original content much easier to navigate.
My hope going forward is to continue my blog to tell our stories over the years of our marriage and the many ways that God provided for us and sustained us in the midst of extreme difficulties. I’m also hoping to blog about the grieving process and life as a fairly young widow.
Regardless what you are experiencing and how much content I may or may not add in the years ahead, my hope is that this website helps point you to Çhrist – our Redeemer, Sustainer, and Hope.
