My verse by verse study of the Book of James

Hereunder is a verse by verse study I prepared on the Book of James. It is very different than other studies in that it "flowcharts" each verse, showing that the Book of James is not a Book that jumps from topic to topic but is very consistent in its flow and presentation. This is a very helpful, very detailed study that allows users to go to specific verses of interest and gain tremendous insights on the verses and related biblical references. The Book of James includes an introduction by the author in Chapter 1 and verse 1 and then, in verse 2 states, "Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of various kinds." James teaches us in his Book that if our faith is real, we can and will consider it pure joy (or with pure "confidence in God"), in the midst of terrible trials. The difficult issue to grasp is that we can never know if this faith is real unless its tested; it is the only way to determine authenticity. It must be tested by God and must be continually tested by ourselves. And, we have received God's approval or blessing in the midst of trial when we live out these trials in accordance with the Beatitudes.
